I have arranged folk tunes and more modern compositions by Rabhani Brothers and others
To keep the Arabic mood, I altered the melodies to adapt to Western scales, which do not use the Arabic quarter tones.
These tunes are fun to play, from slow evocative Belly-Dances to playful folk tunes and modern Arabic classics. I have kept away from Hollywood-style clichéd sounds and have only included authentic tunes.
If you have not explored this style of music, the book offers an introduction to something new and exciting. Ukulele newcomers and more experienced finger-picking players will find lots to increase their repertoires.
