Product Description

Add an African handicraft flair to your home with a handmade Antique Decorative Loom. Imported directly from the Burkina Faso, this loom was a once functional textile tool that now adds intrigue to your decorations. A sturdy black metal stand supports each loom for easy display on your fireplace mantel, bookshelf, or coffee table.

Looms have been used throughout the centuries to weave clothing, tapestries, and textiles. Cotton threads were traditionally fed through the comb-like portion of the beater to create strips of fabric that could be sewn together and fashioned into clothing.

Since each loom is an individually hand-crafted antique, no two looms will be exactly alike.

  • Metal & wood
  • Overall piece approximately 11" H x 8" W (27.5 x 20 cm)
  • Fairly traded from Burkina Faso
