These twenty books of poetry are based upon impressions and experiences of Doctor Grace in many places around the world and concerning many people, covering many, many topics, from the time in which he served as an eye surgeon at West Point Academy to service at the US military hospital in Korea to missionary hospitals in India, Africa and the Caribbean Islands and China, as examples of his vast and varied experiences. He would say 'Sharing life with other fellow human beings'. All are expressed in his poetry that entails different forms, from free verse to tightly formal poems, one such being American Sonnet which he developed, and some of which are intended to eschew any formal form at all. He cites well known and studied men and women poets of several centuries, and elaborates on their work in his own original way; the reader will find elucidation of obscure meanings as well as the appreciation of one poet for others.
