Product Description

by Casper Hoenderdos (Author)

This mythical story of leadership takes place sometime around AD 500 in the region of what is now the states of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. The Anasazi Indians were originally a nomadic people and lived as hunter-gatherers. When they discovered agriculture, they let go of the nomadic existence and settled in permanent places. Before Columbus came this civilization disappeared. Probably due to a combination of poor soil management, deforestation and overpopulation. We don't know much more than this. This story gives a glimpse into what may have happened at the time. Many questions remain. Why the switch from nomads to farmers? What choices have been made? What leadership is needed to bring about change? This story provides a picture of how people talk to each other and about each other within and between the different organizational layers. Dilemmas, the road to change and what it takes to bring about change, are widely discussed in this story. It requires looking differently, thinking differently and acting differently. A new viewpoint shows how resistance can be broken and how opportunities emerge. Just read which roads unfold.
