Product Description

by Claudia Hagen (Author)

Rosie the Riveters built airplanes, ships and more during WWII and have become American icons. There were other Rosies during WWII we know little about. They were the thousands of top secret Rosies, held by an Oath of Secrecy never to reveal to anyone what they had done during the war. Their stories have been buried in classified documents for more than 70 years, and only recently declassified. Their contributions to America during war time have been rarely discussed, until now. The Government Girls, Fingerprint Girls, Calutron Girls, the Listeners, spies, scientists, and technicians all worked secretly to help end the war. Here are their stories.
