About the Author
John J. McBrearty's 32-year military career consisted of positions of increased responsibilities and spanned the globe with operations in Iraq, Kuwait, Japan, Australia, Mexico, and Thailand. He retired in 2016 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

John J. McBrearty, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy and College, as well as Temple University. He also holds a master's degree in American history from the American Public University and served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at California State University, San Bernardino. His unique multi-service career, increasingly significant military assignments, and combat action give him insight into the importance of American history and freedom.
