Product Description

by Chrissy Glentis (Author)

For anyone who suffers from food intolerances, eating out may have become almost impossible and finding a recipe to cook for the whole family can be very restrictive.

With more than 100 recipes for lunches and dinners (including desserts), this cookbook will have those following the low-FODMAP diet excited by the range of dishes that are suddenly available again.

Always Delicious Low-FODMAP Kitchen is the brainchild of Chrissy Glentis, co-founder of the Foddies food brand. Chrissy has created hundreds of recipes over the years and wants to show that eating for digestive health doesn't mean boring, bland meals.

The chapters include:

  • Don't Miss Out on Flavour - Basics You Can Trust: Cheat's Aioli, Kale Pesto, Maple Dijon Dressing, Chicken Stock, Marinara Sauce.
  • The Comeback - Soups You Never Thought You'd Eat Again: Minestrone Soup, Potato and Leek Soup, Prawn and Chicken Laksa.
  • Pasta, Rice and Noodles, Oh My: Chicken Puttanesca, Beef Pad See Ew, Creamy Salmon Gnocchi, Easy Vegetarian Lasagne.
  • Chicken Dinner = Winner: One-pan Lemon and Olive Chicken, Pesto- stuffed Chicken with Balsamic Reduction, Chicken Enchilada with Mexican-style Rice.
  • Easy Meals with Meat: Moussaka, Korean Beef with Rice, Massaman Curry, Lamb Backstrap with Fattoush Salad.
  • Go-to Vegetarian: Mediterranean Frittata, Faux-lafels, Roasted Capsicum (Bell Pepper) and Olive Bruschetta with Labneh.
  • Friendly Food for Little Tums: Shepherd's Pie, Singapore Noodles, Sausage Rolls, Souvlaki, Penne Alfredo Pasta Bake.
  • The Sweet Life - Cookies and Slices: Triple Choc Cookies, Marshmallow Slice, Granola Bars, Raspberry White Choc Blondie.
  • Have Your Cake and Eat It Too (Minus the Bloat): Quick Gooey Mug Cakes, Lemon Meringue Cheesecake, Rhubarb Tart.

All recipes offer easy-to-follow instructions, ideas on batch cooking and guidelines on ingredients, so the world of low-FODMAP eating will no longer feel overwhelming. All recipes are free from onion, garlic, gluten and dairy, or can be easily adapted, and there are handy icons to note which recipes are also egg free, soy free or nut free.

For those on a low-FODMAP diet, your life just became that little bit easier with recipes the whole family will love.

Author Biography

Chrissy Glentis is the co-founder and creative mind behind the low-FODMAP food brand Foddies. She has lived with fructose malabsorption and lactose intolerance since the age of 19, and was sick of going out to eat and not having any options other than eggs on toast (particularly frustrating in a foodie capital like Melbourne). Chrissy started Foddies with her husband Luke in 2014 and they ran cafes offering low-FODMAP dishes, which subsequently led to a range of packaged products that are available in Australia and the US. Chrissy has been a pioneer in the specialty food space, featured in newspapers and TV cooking shows for her simple yet flavorsome, allergy-friendly dishes.
