Though married in her eventual future, Katie slowly discovers time unwinding before her in a pattern she doesn't recognize from previous experiences. She gradually realizes she is alone with her burden and torn between her loves. This time, returning to the present may not be in the cards for Katie and she has to make a decision between loyalty and love.
