She became an accomplished orator, singer, instrumentalist and bomba and plena dancer, and was tireless in her goal of preserving Afro Caribbean traditions and culture.

Author Biography

Ana Castillo Muñoz is a Puerto Rican author and the founder of Verbo y Piel.

Yamel Figueroa Sotomayoris a Puerto Rican illustrator with an MA in animation design and visual development from the Academy of Art University in California.
