He finishes with the firefighters cleaning up the scene and returning to the station where they are always ready for the next emergency. A Work Day the Firefighter Way teaches critical and potentially lifesaving lessons. Children learn the importance of what to do if they find themselves in an emergency, like calling 9-1-1, getting out and staying out, and not playing with matches.
Author Biography
The Firefighter Writer attended a local fire academy and Youngstown State University, majoring in emergency medical technology, criminal justice, and allied health. He also earned a master's degree in health and human services and is a registered nurse. He's worked more than fifteen years as a career firefighter, EMT, and paramedic.
