She coedited the national bestseller Mothers Who Think: Tales of Real-Life Parenthood and Because I Said So: 33 Mothers Write About Children, Sex, Men, Aging, Faith, Race & Themselves, which received an American Book Award. She has written and edited for Vogue, Ladies' Home Journal, Los Angeles Times Magazine, Mother Jones, WebMD, Reader's Digest and the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner Sunday magazine.
