Logan Bennett, an accountant who volunteers at his local church, finds himself to be lonely, burned out, exhausted from trying to "earn" God's acceptance for years and confused as to whether or not he really is or ever was. He then encounters an odd fellow by the name of Theo who is unfamiliar with every day technology and the normal activities of life, such as a baseball game, and claims to be a saint from the cloud of witnesses who transitioned to the other side 500 years before. Theo, tasked with the assignment of teaching Logan the real truth of the good news, experiences joyful moments as he learns of all the modern-day technology, travels on amazing new forms of transportation, enjoys new foods, and sees his first home run. Of course, his real joy is helping Logan realize that he's not as alone as he thought he was.
