Regenia M. Rawlinson, transcending a poverty-stricken childhood, has been an educator for more than thirty years, working as a teacher, a school counselor, and district administrator. Rawlinson is an expert on the topic of poverty and a leader in the areas of culture and school climate. Rawlinson is highly sort after as a motivational speaker. Rawlinson has presented at local, state, and national conferences on poverty, worked with children and adults living in poverty, provided professional development for educators across the country, and published books focusing on poverty, classroom management, and student success. Rawlinson and her husband, David, are the parents of three adult children and live in South Carolina.
