Product Description

by Kevin Greig (Editor), Gordon Casely (Editor), George Anthony Maxwell (Illustrator)

George Anthony Maxwell was a celebrated Scottish heraldic artist and was widely acclaimed for his digital applications of heraldry in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. By taking modern approaches to the creation of heraldic art, he made waves in the Scots Heraldry Community.

Palfrey Press is honoured to publish A Festschrift for George Anthony Maxwell, a labour of thanksgiving by Kevin Greig, another celebrated heraldic artist, and Gordon Casley, a prominent Scots Heraldist, as a tribute to Maxwell's life, art, and legacy.

A full colour paperback book to remember Anthony Maxwell, who brought colour and verve to Scots heraldry.

The book contains over 500 images that demonstrate his illustration, craft and silver production, representing 185 armigers and organizations.

These are accompanied by Anthony's anecdotes, remembrances by some of his clients and a foreword from Lord Lyon, King of Arms.
