Product Description

by Paul F. Rodney (Author)

"A Dust Story" looks back on speculations the author had as a child while sitting in a dark room with sunlight coming through blinds, brightly illuminating dust particles. For the story he wanted to tell, the author thought it best to introduce two boys marveling at the beauty he himself had seen in the dust. While contemplating the dust, the two boys are transported to another world that was floating in the dust. The boys end up on a planet where, as on earth, there are intelligent beings that have all fallen into sin, but unlike our world, they are literally frozen in their sin. An awesome being (later revealed to be The Holy Spirit), guides and educates them and then leads them to show love by sharing the gospel with the natives. This doesn't go well at first, but by God's mercy, many natives are turned to Christ. The faith is spreading on this dust world when The Holy Spirit leads the boys back home. The underlying theology is explained in the end notes. Since many new terms are introduced, they are also explained in a glossary. Most images are in an art form known as "fractals." From his early youth, Paul was fascinated by God's creation. When he was old enough to attend Sunday School, he learned that there is a god. Strangely, when he was 13 years old, the pastor of that church preached "The Bible is a book of myths, but ah! What wonderful myths!" This led to going to a different church and placing his faith in Christ. Since then, he has progressively learned to delight himself in God - how else can one love Him with all of one's heart, soul, mind and strength?
