A Cow Called Boy Activity Booklet uses the classic literature text A Cow Called Boy by C. Everald Palmer to build comprehension and expression competence in students from grades 7 to 9. The activities are structured to encourage critical thinking and allow students to develop good writing skills. The comprehension activities employ a range of difficulty levels to both challenge and reward students.
Author Biography
Sophia Whyte-Givans is a trained teacher with specialization in Language Education (UWI, Mona, 2001). She has taught language and literature at the secondary level, from grades 7 through 11. She has also served as an Assistant Examiner for the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC's) English Language examination. Though she no longer teaches, she keeps abreast of developments in the education sector and continues to hone her skills by working with her three children to build their language competence.
