by Tony Lee (Author)
When Chuck May was a child, his father taught him the importance of investing in quality, from electric toothbrushes and coffee-makers to lawnmowers and cars. After his parents are killed in an accident, Chuck's demand for mechanical perfection becomes an obsession. His marriage eventually unravels under the strain, and the divorce is a heartbreaking addition to the pile of failed and broken things in Chuck's life. Just when Chuck begins to think happiness will forever elude him, his ex-wife's new boyfriend introduces him to Milo Thibodeaux. Chuck is impressed by the mysterious fix-it man's handy work and becomes a regular customer. But when the machines reemerging from Milo's workshop begin malfunctioning in increasingly violent ways, Chuck realizes the handyman's extraordinary skill comes at a steep price. Fans of Brandon Massey will devour Punishment, a dark, humorous tale of horror that skillfully blends old-world sorcery with the contemporary evils of rabid consumerism and corporate greed.
