With a painterly drop of magic, Pippa squirrel tosses streams of color with her fluffy tail to create paintings of her forest friends. Pippa and the Lost Paintings is a charming story bursting with illustrations that elevate Pippa's colorful perceptions and creative worries, with a funny group of friends to see her through.
As Pippa paints her three friends, Blue Jay, Brown Rabbit, and Velvet Mole, each asks Pippa if she will leave her painting for others to enjoy. Pippa asks herself questions such as, "What if my painting isn't good at all?" When pelting wind and rain tatter Pippa's nest and the paintings she has hidden there, Pippa must find the resilience to accept the unexpected and discover a new form of beauty in her art.
Pippa and the Lost Paintings offers an opening for children to explore the struggles of creativity and change in the creative process. In Pippa, children will find an irresistible and colorful character, with a familiar group of friends a child may find in their own backyard.
