Filling a gap in the current literature, Latinx Healing Practices: Psychospiritual Counseling Interventions convenes the voices of Latinx psychologists and Indigenous spirituality practitioners to provide future and current mental health professionals with a greater understanding of Latinx spirituality, healing traditions, worldviews, and experiences. Section III addresses ethical standards, the importance of inclusion of Latinx spiritual models of practice when preparing professional counselors, and recommendations for the integration of spirituality and applied practice in education and training.
Latinx Healing Practices: Psychospiritual Counseling Interventions is part of the Cognella Series on Advances in Culture, Race, and Ethnicity. The series, co-sponsored by Division 45 of the American Psychological Association, addresses critical and emerging issues within culture, race, and ethnic studies, as well as specific topics among key multicultural groups.
