Part I provides general introduction, chemical constituents, value addition and uses; Part II provides climatic condition and soil, standard package of practices of ginger, post harvesting and marketing over the hilly areas. However, Part III provides the traditional system of ginger cultivation (jhum cultivation) as well as different value added products of ginger among the hilly peoples/ tribal communities viz., ginger nectar, ginger ale, ginger candy, ginger beer and wine.
