Life was going at an even pace for Linda Alfieri, until she started developing blurred vision and severe vertigo. Suddenly, Linda was faced with the possibility of being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and saddling her husband Paul and young children with full-time care for her. In her new autobiography, Beneath His Wings, Linda recalls her nearly fifteen-year battle for health that led to a later, accurate diagnosis of Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID). While in the midst of living with a disease, Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer and "believed" conversion disorder, possibly stemming from a childhood of physical and sexual abuse from an alcoholic father. She recalls how through regression therapy sessions she was able to communicate more effectively with Paul and forgive her abusive past. The biggest step forward came through allowing Jesus into her heart and seeing that God's unconditional love through Jesus was the best cure.
