Melissa Donovan is the founder and editor of Writing Forward, a blog packed with creative writing tips and ideas. Melissa started writing poetry and song lyrics at age thirteen. Shortly thereafter, she began keeping a journal. She attended Sonoma State University, earning a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing. Since then, Melissa has worked as a copywriter, editor, professional blogger, writing coach, and author.
