The main characters in the story are Jacob and his single widowed father. Jacob is a preschool-aged little boy whose favorite thing to do is spend time with his father and eat delicious foods. Together they learn to embrace God's wonderful goodness, even when a beloved orange tree suddenly and unexpectedly produces a crop of apples.
