Product Description

by John Julius Candelaria (Illustrator), John Julius Candelaria (Author)

Except for people that die for reasons other than natural deaths, we all share the inescapable phase of mental and physical decline before death mercifully comes. Most, perhaps everyone, do not want to know about what awaits during the descent of the final stage of life. I am presently in that gradual descent. Alas, my mind is waning, so I must hurry and complete this essay while I am lucid. Since I authored dozens of books about various topics, I am composing this essay from a literary and psychological perspective. The grand romanticism of human experience, with all its noble victories and tragedies is wondrous. Poets sing to it. Much has been written about final goodbyes to dying loved ones and about the stages of coping, after a loved-one's passing. I am not aware of literature, originating from anyone that is undergoing their final phase of existence. A mechanism exists in every human that triggers a sense about when we begin the spiraling descent of natural mental and physical decay. However, our subconscious suppresses conscious awareness of that imperceptible descent, lest we become unraveled by it. Alas, all my facilities could deteriorate before I complete this composition. The footsteps of death grow louder.
