From Abandoned Bronx Streets to the Spotlight of the Dance Floor
Born into poverty and violence in the South Bronx, a young Puerto Rican boy faced unimaginable hardship-abuse, bullying, speech struggles, and systemic neglect. But through it all, he refused to break. Hustle on One is the raw, unfiltered story of a child who fought back against a world that tried to silence him.
With humor, heart, and unflinching honesty, this memoir charts his journey from hospital beds and back-alley fights to discovering his voice, his rhythm, and his future through the power of chess, martial arts, and the rising tide of the Original Hustle dance. Along the way, unlikely mentors, childhood heartbreaks, and underground dance clubs shape the man he would become.
A tribute to grit, disco classic music, and the soul-saving magic of movement, Hustle on One is not just a story of survival-it's a celebration of the hustle in all of us.
