Like the state's motto Ditat Deus, Latin for "God enriches," Arizona settlers wouldn't have come in such great numbers if not for the wealth of mineral riches. Gunslingers, outlaws, and bandits turned the state into their stomping ground... and a burial ground for their hidden bandit loot! With its wide-open deserts, deep canyons, and often inadequate resources, Arizona created a paradise for those looking to make their fortune through thieving and conniving. Whether stealing from stagecoaches or train cars, the Wild West provided ample opportunity for these desperados to make their way into the headlines and stampede into history books. Crafty treasure hunters can now find these Wild West fortunes buried under the sands of Arizona!
