Al the Alpaca is based on a true story of Al when he was taken from his friends and the life he knew on an alpaca farm to a neglected and dangerous life on a sheep farm. Al shares his fears and his longing to be reunited with his two best friends, Francis and Teddy Bear. Al is finally rescued and taken to a forever home. But still, he misses his alpaca friends and hopes to one day be reunited. Al's adventure is told by Al himself
Author Biography
Diane Odegard Gockel is a former high school teacher who has devoted much of her life to the rescue, fostering and adoption of homeless pets. She and her daughter Julie Diane Stafford co-own Creative Kids Unplugged. Diane and her husband have four grown children and live on a small farm in Sammamish, Washington called Second Chance Ranch.
