Product Description

by Peter Gemza (Illustrator), Lucas Somma (Editor), Rebekah Gemza (Editor)

Alcoholics Anonymous. The American Church. The church has been around longer. The church has more prestige. The church has the better reputation. Alcoholics Anonymous has better results. People in AA are finding freedom and healing from their addictions while Christians in church continue to suffer from them. In this book, Aaron Nowell a life long Christian who spent four months in AA explains why it has been more effective as of late in helping its members find healing than the church. By comparing these two institutions that are never compared, Aaron not only brings to light their similarities but also brings to light some areas of the church that need to be improved for it to again be the place of healing it once was.

Author Biography

Aaron Nowell is a blogger and up and coming author. A graduate of Ashford University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Aaron has spent years fine tuning his craft of writing. However, it wasn't until his near death experience that he considered writing as a vocation. In May of 2015, Aaron almost lost his life when he totaled his car while driving home drunk. This experience led to him creating a blog in October of the same year called, Christian Alcoholic. His honest and open writing is being noticed internationally as he has been able to guest blog for issuesiface.com (My Life Wasted) and Club Soda (Cut Back Before Your Life Gets Cut Short) While still maintaining his weekly blog Aaron has shifted his focus to writing and releasing books. His first book AA vs The American Church is one of three books he plans on releasing over the next few months. He currently resides in Waterbury, CT with his wife Brianna and their two children.
