Current Speaker of the House, Lily VonHelm is the daughter of German immigrants that fled Berlin as Hitler rose to power. She went into nursing, but her career trajectory shifted after her best friend, Henry, was drafted. Lily couldn't let her best friend go to Vietnam without her, so she volunteered.
