On their way to find their father, twins Jacqueline (Jacq) and Alexandria (Alex) are attacked by a notorious pirate, Captain Ming. Stranded aboard a ship of pirates, Jacq has a choice to make. Her pirate captor gives her an ultimatum, wanting her to join his crew for reasons unknown. Still, with the encouragement of some unexpected allies, Jacq is determined to retrieve what was stolen from her and escape.
As the girls struggle with their plights, they are forced to question who they are and what they believe in. They discover that sometimes all it takes is determination or a change of perspective to bring about a Turning of the Tides.
