PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG

by Alicia Arzaga (Author)

Welcome to the magical supermarket where looks don't matter. But unfortunately, Chloe the Cucumber, Bob the Broccoli, and Betsy the Green Bean are tired of being green. When they look out upon the floor, they see Tammy the Tomato, Leo the Lemon, and Oliver the Orange shining brightly with vibrant colors. So one day, the vegetables roll over to Wally the Watermelon and ask him to change them into the fruits they wish to be. Little do they know that trying to be someone else is not all that great.

Author Biography

As a young child, I was told that my wild imagination might one day lead me off the straight and narrow path. Like most kids in pre-adolescence, making strong friendships was always awkward. My parents told me that picking up a sport might help me with this part of my life, so at age 8 I picked up golf. Although I excelled at golf in high school and eventually obtained a college scholarship, in my own way, I was still struggling with self-confidence. But through hard work and perseverance, coupled with my continued imagination, I was able to fulfill one of the things from the bucket list I wrote when I was 10 years old: Writing a Children's Book. Through the story about fruits and vegetables feeling uncomfortable in their own skin, I hope that children of all ages can learn to love themselves for who they are and be comfortable in their own skin.
