Eerie things always happen on Halloween night as witches, goblins and ghouls - real or imagined - run amok through the streets. But in this town, all the children rush home and lock their doors before the first stroke of midnight, fearful of the mysterious things they heard occur after that hour. However this Halloween, one child is left behind, lost and alone in Chatham Street Park.
When witches appear and drag a big cauldron into the park, the lost child watches nervously from the shelter of the trees, afraid to move. The subsequent ritual he witnesses is both frightening and unexpected, and must be seen to be believed.
No matter your age, Halloween is a time of fun and frolic with a dash of spooky. For children and adults alike, The Witching Hour in Chatham Street Park is a magical adventure with a surprise ending that is sure to delight.
Author Biography
When author Deborah Edmondson couldn't find a favorite Halloween book for her daughter Jessica's first grade class, she decided to write her own. Now that little Jessica is a grown up mother, Deborah thought it would be fun to recreate that story for her little grand-goblins and ghouls.
