Alvin Lavell Ward, my father, passed away on January 13, 2003. He left me his loose-leaf notebook containing the information he had collected on the genealogy of the Ward Family. I scanned these many pages, consisting of xerographic copies of old photos and other data he gleaned over many years of research; and personal contact with near and distant relatives. I have shared the PDF files to several of my close relatives, but I'm certain that most of them have never looked at them, nor shared them with other family members. So, I decided to publish them in printed form. This book is the result. I hope you enjoy-and share-it.
Author Biography
Alvin L. Ward served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, stationed in Guam and Saipan. He later worked for Land-Air in Germany. He farmed in West Texas for many years and then operated A&M Auto Parts in Denver City, Texas. Due to poor health, he spent several years researching his genealogy. He traveled around visiting close relatives and contacting long-lost relatives he discovered, collecting photos, news articles, and family information from them. Alvin compiled this information into his Ward Family loose-leaf binder.
