PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG

by Michael R. Jones (Author)

The Role of Meaning in Second Language Acquisition is much more than a traditional book on teaching ESL. It bridges the spaces between second language acquisition theory, classroom practice, psychology, and neurology. In his book, Dr. Michael Jones explores the areas of the mind that long for meaning in order to once again return to the state of wholeness. Dr. Jones through stories, examples, and practical tips, allows teachers to see their students in ways that they may not have in the past, and try techniques that may have been here-to-fore foreign to them. Through understanding and employing the techniques described in this book, teachers can assist students who find learning a second language difficult due to their losses of meaning to regain their sense of meaning and begin learning and feeling a part of their new community and nation.
