In The Prices We Pay, discover the truths of the world told through the eyes, hearts, minds, and experiences of nature and the animal world. Fly with the vulture and learn her mythology. Run with the coyote as she finds her self. Experience rebirth with the phoenix and her role in the world, and feel the grief of loss and the love of family as Mother Cardinal teaches her fledging his greatest gift. We learn with the animals just what it means to be human: that to love is our most important gift and that grief is the shadow side of that love. In this short collection of fables, with a kiss of mythology, we all learn that the prices we pay for love are worth every moment, every sacrifice, every tear, and every breath.
