A city in Eastern Washington is bombed to control the spread of a deadly disease. Years later, two men buy a storage unit that contains a strange chemical and boxes filled with gold Kruggerands. To keep the gold a secret, they dump the chemical into the sewer system inadvertently mutating a common virus. Thus starts a wild ride of cover-ups, suspense, greed and murder as the team pushes to develop a worldwide vaccine to stop the spread of Alzheimer's.
