In the summer of 1977, the man known to his millions of fans as "The King" passed away at his Tennessee home. A decade later, purported sightings of the same man began appearing in newspapers around the world. Witnesses reported spotting him at airports, theaters and diners, some even recounting conversations with the long thought departed superstar.
The King and Me: A Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy imagines one such encounter. It's the story of a young man who encounters a mysterious loner living deep in the Adirondack Mountains. Coming to believe the man is indeed the former "Memphis Flash", he convinces him to mount a comeback. Soon the unlikely duo set out on a spiritual road trip of sorts, a journey across America to the Capital of the once and future king's realm, the city of Las Vegas.
