This writer-magician draws a talking cat, a serial killer, a man obsessed with Hemingway, a bloviating troll, a shoeless toad, and one or two ordinary folk out of his hat. And what a hat it is. Think of Yeats' Words for Music Perhaps & Other Poems. Ditch the perhaps. Skip the poems (although not the poetry). Concentrate on the words, surprising, ambitious, over-the-top, the music in the words, haunting, lonesome, lush. There's lots of humor here, too, highbrow, low, deadpan, droll. Author Biography
Dana Gorbea-Leon was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He came to Los Angeles, California, when he was seven years old. He's had nine lives, one in state government, one as a union organizer, one as a community activist, another as a newspaper writer and columnist, another in the advertising field. Currently he works in marketing in the healthcare industry. No pets, no children, no alibis. He's tackling a science-fiction novel and a memoir. Currently resides in Alhambra, California.
