Product Description
RGB LED spoke lights from STEVVEX Sport that mount directly onto bicycle wheel spokes and display 30 different light patterns as the wheel spins. The faster you ride, the more complete the pattern becomes - full pattern display at 20 km/h and above. 14 bright LEDs per unit, IPX-5 waterproof, vibration induction switch, and two operating modes. Fits round spokes with a 55-88mm spoke-to-rim distance. Available in 1-pack or 2-pack (one per wheel).
Key Features
- 30 RGB light patterns - 14 LEDs display 30 different patterns as the wheel rotates; patterns cycle automatically every 4 seconds for variety during rides; the spoke-mounted LEDs use persistence of vision (POV) - the pattern is only visible as a complete image when the wheel is spinning, appearing as a full glowing disc of pattern from the side
- Speed-dependent pattern completion - at 20 km/h and above, the full pattern is visible and complete; at speeds below approximately 18 km/h, only a partial pattern is visible as the wheel doesn't spin fast enough to complete the POV effect; patterns look their best at typical cycling speeds on flat terrain
- Auto mode and manual mode - in auto mode, the lights only activate when both conditions are met simultaneously: it is dark out AND the wheels are turning; this conserves battery and means the lights come on automatically at dusk without needing to switch them on; in manual mode, the lights remain on continuously whenever the wheel is spinning regardless of ambient light level
- Vibration induction switch - the on/off switch uses vibration sensing rather than a physical button press; tap or shake the unit to cycle through modes and switch between auto and manual
- No-tool spoke installation - press the unit onto the spoke and slide it toward the rim until it seats tightly; the clip mechanism grips the spoke without tools; compatible with round spokes at 55-88mm from spoke to rim
- IPX-5 waterproof - IPX-5 rated for water jet resistance; suitable for riding in rain without damage to the electronics or battery compartment; not rated for submersion
- AAA battery powered - runs on 1 standard AAA battery per unit; widely available and easy to replace; battery life varies with usage mode and battery quality
- PC housing - polycarbonate shell is impact-resistant and lightweight; 70×40×15mm per unit

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these fit my bike's spokes?
The clip mount is compatible with round spoke cross-sections (circular profile) at a spoke-to-rim distance of 55-88mm. Most standard road bikes, mountain bikes, and commuter bikes with standard wire spokes fall within this range. Measure from the spoke surface to the inner rim wall at the point where you plan to mount the unit - if this distance is between 55mm and 88mm, the lights will fit. Flat bladed spokes (aero spokes) and very thick or unusually shaped spokes may not clip securely. If your bike has non-round spoke profiles, contact us before ordering. The 2-pack includes two units for both wheels; each wheel needs its own unit for a symmetrical appearance.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends on operating mode, battery quality, and ride frequency. In auto mode (activates only in darkness when wheels are turning), battery life is significantly longer than manual mode because the lights are off during daylight rides entirely. With a standard alkaline AAA battery in auto mode with typical evening/night commute use, expect several weeks to months of use before replacement. In manual mode with regular nightly use, expect shorter intervals between replacements. Using high-quality alkaline or lithium AAA batteries (rather than budget no-name batteries) will noticeably extend life. Replace the battery when the pattern becomes noticeably dimmer or the LEDs start flickering - these are the first signs of a low battery rather than a unit fault.
Are these safe for road riding and visible enough for traffic?
These are decorative wheel lights designed to add visibility and style to night riding - they are not a substitute for a primary front white light and rear red light, which are required by law for road cycling in most jurisdictions. The spoke lights are visible from the side as a spinning pattern, which improves lateral visibility to cross-traffic and pedestrians - a direction that standard front/rear lights do not cover. For road use at night, use these in combination with a proper front headlight and rear red light, not as a replacement for them. For off-road, trail, or path riding where traffic law requirements do not apply, the spoke lights alone may be sufficient depending on the conditions. The IPX-5 rating makes them suitable for rain riding without concern for water damage.
