SHATTERED is based on a true story. It's a novel in which Stephanie struggled against domestic violence. Without help it took years to set her free. She was trapped through isolation, economic abuse, intimidation, physical, and psychological abuse, beside having two small children to care for and protect. With only the clothes on their backs she made an escape with her children only to find more danger. There was no help she had to go back. They had a roof over their head but once more her husband had power and control. Finally Stephanie got lucky when she came across a woman that would take an interest in her.
