Boston in the 1770s is a tense place. The patriots object to a government across the sea deciding their taxes, and the redcoats have been sent in to keep order. All Jack wants is to stay out of trouble, and to protect his little sister - but when the fighting breaks out, he knows he'll need to pick a side. Paris in the 1790s is full of excitement as the Revolution promises liberty, equality and fraternity for all. Catherine is proud to have a father in the new government, and pleased to have made a new friend who is just as thrilled by the Revolution as she is.
