This all instruments book is a collection of blues pieces based on blues forms, traditional and modern, with different modes, some of which are infrequently used in the blues. They include a twelve-tone blues, whole tone scale, half tone-whole tone (diminished scale), augmented scale, Alexander Tcherepnin's nine-tone scale, Flamenco Scale (Spanish Phrygian), and Klezmer, as well as blues in Dorian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Lydian b7, Melodic Minor, and Altered Scale (Super Locrian). Only one - "Blues for Duke", uses the traditional (complete) blues scale.
