Product Description

by Kenyon R. Dudley (Author), J. C. White (Author)

"Timeless, classic, soulful, powerful and anointed. A few words to describe the compositions of gospel songwriter/arranger John Carlton White, affectionately known as J.C. Spanning over six decades and more than 100 original writings J.C. White certainly is the 'Architect of the Modern Church Choir.' Over the years we have heard the message in the songs he has written, but now we are blessed to know the message behind the songs."

Author Biography

Bishop John C. White is a native of Brooklyn, New York. In his early years of ministry, he served as a Deacon at the Institutional Church of God in Christ, International and the Director of the world famous Institutional Radio Choir. His composition Stretch Out launched the Institutional Radio Choir on the road to popularity. J.C., as he is affectionately known, acknowledged his call to preach the Gospel and joined the quorum of ministers at the Institutional C.O.G.I.C., International. Bishop White is blessed to have songs that he wrote in the sixties and seventies still being performed today by church choirs around the world and by many notable artists such as, Vickie Winans, Latrice Pace, Judith McAllister, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, Sheri Jones-Moffett, Marvin Winans and Donnie McClurkin. The late Daryl Coley's rendition of "This is the Answer" still permeates the air waves today.
