IOT is basically connection of devices across the internet with the sole aim of generating data that will aid effective decision making. It can be applied to various sector of the economy. The book looks at Health care, Agriculture, banking and finance, public sector etc. challenges are often experienced when data is inaccurate, like agriculture waste can be eliminated, fertilizers can be applied accurately since the data of the soil is accurate. Internet penetration is a major challenge in Nigeria, this can only be improved, Nigeria is ranked 7th in the world for internet usage, question here is what purposes and the answer is very clear, uses for social media like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc. Facebook has 139 million users; Instagram has 6.972 Million Users. Technology investors around the world see Nigeria as an emerging market.
