Check the Chooks! is a picture-book adventure story about a small dog called Pepe living on an Australian farm. He feels insignificant compared to Ruby the farm dog, as he doesn't have a job to do. He dreams of being special and, when one of the farm animals goes missing, Pepe pushes through his fears and helps with the search.
