CACHE'S Chickees to Casinos is a raw, unfiltered memoir of survival, sovereignty, addiction, and spiritual awakening, told through the lived experience of a Seminole woman born barefoot in the swamps of Big Cypress and raised during the rise of tribal gaming in America.
Sacred Lady Caché traces her life from childhood in traditional chickees, without electricity, plumbing, or certainty, through the transformation of her community as bingo halls became casinos and sovereignty became power. Along the way, she navigates poverty, generational trauma, abuse, underage exploitation, political corruption, wealth, betrayal, addiction, incarceration, and loss.
This memoir does not romanticize pain. It exposes it. From living inside tribal leadership and million-dollar empires to surviving homelessness, prostitution, and the depths of substance addiction, Caché's story is both deeply personal and historically significant. Interwoven with faith, Indigenous identity, recovery, and accountability, the narrative becomes a testimony of resilience and truth.
More than a life story, Chickees to Casinos is a voice reclaimed, a declaration that survival can become sovereignty, and that even from the deepest swamp, redemption is possible.
