by Terri Kirby Erickson (Author)
Terri Kirby Erickson's poems have appeared in hundreds of publications including Poet's Market, Ted Kooser's "American Life in Poetry," The Writer's Almanac with Garrison Keillor, and Verse Daily, and have earned the Joy Harjo Poetry Prize, Nazim Hikmet Poetry Award, Atlanta Review International Publication Prize, a Gold Medal in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and a Nautilus Silver Book Award. In Becoming the Blue Heron, Erickson's fifth collection of poems, she proves again why she has secured her spot in poetry's lexicon. From personal insights to front porch stories, these poems read like a conversation with a dear friend who tells it like she sees it in simple words that only a deep and wise understanding can bring together.
