Product Description
The Artilume D2 is a compact, foldable diode laser engraver for home workshops, hobbyists, and small-batch makers. With a 0.12mm laser spot, 0.01mm engraving accuracy, and a 200x150mm work area, it handles detailed text, logos, and artwork on wood, leather, acrylic, cardboard, and coated or painted metal. Choose 2.5W or 6W laser power. Ships from the United States.
Before first use: remove the small protective tape covering the limit switch on the laser head. If it is left on, the machine may not home correctly or may show an alarm.

FAQs
What is the difference between the 2.5W and 6W versions?
Both are the same D2 machine with the same work area, accuracy, speed, and software support. Only the laser module power differs. The 6W option is the better pick if you want faster, deeper engraving on a wider range of materials.
Which software does it work with?
LightBurn on Windows and macOS, LaserGRBL on Windows, and a companion mobile app. LaserGRBL is free. LightBurn is paid software sold separately by its developer.
Can it engrave metal?
The listing supports painted metal and stainless steel. Bare stainless steel usually needs a laser marking spray or coating with a diode laser, and bare reflective metals like polished aluminum, copper, or brass are generally not suitable.
Does it cut materials?
This listing lists engraving specs only. No cutting depth or thickness is specified, so please treat it as an engraver.
Why does my machine show an alarm on first power-on?
Check that the protective tape on the limit switch has been removed. This is a one-time step.
