Though not as old or as rare as many other books in this Classic Pigeon Book series, this work if of immense historical importance because it speaks with great authority on the magnificent dovecotes and other pigeon houses which once dotted Europe and elsewhere. Wonderfully illustrated. It should be of interest not only to pigeon fanciers, but also those interested in historical architecture, landscaping and self sufficiency. Original copies of this book are hard to find and are quite valuable, sometimes selling for over $500. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface.
