Product Description

by Barbara W. Teal (Author)

- The Duluth, Minnesota Auction House was quickly filling up for the quarterly Lighthouse Auction where abandoned lighthouses or those no longer used by the federal government were auctioned to the general public. One of the audience members was Madeline Kirkpatrick, the popular inn keeper and owner of the Twin Sisters Inn located in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. Maddie, as she was called, was going to expand her holdings and hoped to win the lighthouse. It was a lighthouse standing on top of a cliff overlooking Lake Superior in the State of Michigan. - e property was part of the Shipwreck Coast known for its currents leading to dangerous sailing conditions where many freighters for the last one hundred years or more had sunk into their watery graves below the foot of the cliff.

Although Maddie won the lighthouse and its keepers house, she had one rival who lost to her. He presented as an extremely angry man, and thus began a string of dangerous incidents leading to attempted murder. Maddie and her Shipwreck Coast neighbor, Glenn, and very close friend, Erick became partners in trying to discover who was behind the danger that had come to the Shipwreck Coast. It couldn't be just one angry man, but who were they and what did they want. Unknown to Maddie, Glenn, and Erick they were constantly being watched by individual groups of many people. - e groups knew where they were at all times and were assigned to different locations. - They were even watching the Twin Sisters Inn several miles away so they knew where Maddie, Glenn and Erick were every minute. They knew the receptionist at the Twin Sisters Inn. -

They knew about all their guests and always knew their next move. Maddie and Erick were horrified to discover that their clues took them all the way back to World War II and the Battle for Holland. - ese groups were skilled in military training from mountain climbing to deep diving and any skill they needed to carry out their missions. - They would not let anyone get in their way and would turn to murder if they had to. No one could stop them. - They had carried out many of these missions before and were always successful. Could Maddie, Glenn and Erick stop them?
